Production Concept Unit: New Characters

After changing my idea, I have written new character bio's for the three main characters

Character List
Asad Ahmed – the bright, switched on Muslim bloke
The main protagonist for the series. An 19 year old lad, brown hair, average height, clean shaven, fresh out of college, with a HNC in Electrical Installation. He is fairly bright when it comes to the theoretical side of his subject, but comes somewhat unstuck when it comes to the practical side of it. The series follows him as he tries in vain to get a business off the ground after leaving college, but after various disasters realises it is not as straightforward as he first thought. These disasters however, would not have happened without the aid of his two accomplices that he met whilst at college and subsequently befriended. His religion will become a source of conflict later in the series, as due to being a muslim he is against homosexuality, but it turns out that his friend and later colleague Leona is a lesbian, and he struggles to deal with this. Played by Aqib Khan
Mike – the one who thinks he’s disabled
Becomes friends with Asad as the series progresses. He is perhaps not the brightest person on the planet, but he will stick by his friends through thick and thin, even if he is not always entirely sure why. He is the same age as Asad, but differs somewhat in appearance. He is a tad on the fat side, has brown hair and brown eyes. He uses a wheelchair, and it was never entirely clear amongst his friends whether he genuinely did need it or whether he was just doing it as a benefit fiddle to get money. He was well known and liked amongst his classmates at school for his laid back approach, even if this did result in an experiment in a Science lesson blowing up in his face, quite literally… He has a soft spot for Leona. Played by Robert Sheehan
Leona – the closet lesbian
Leona started at the school that Tony and Mike attended later than them, as her parents moved to the area recently. She, like them, studied Electrical Installation at college, and has successfully passed it, though in dubious circumstances according to Tony and Mike, as they think she used the fact she is a girl to her advantage. She is bright and switched on, and very hard working. She is a lesbian, but at the start of the series, she chooses to keep this hidden from Asad and Mike, but later on they accidently find out when they see her getting up close and personal with another girl when they are out. Her sexuality causes friction with Asad due to him being a muslim. Played by Antonia Thomas
